Are You Accused of Abusing a Baby by Shaking?
This is a Website Wholly Dedicated to the Review of SBS/ AHT.
We have launched a project (SBS Review Project Japan) to review the Shaken Baby Syndrome theory. Our group members consist
of lawyers and researchers who are concerned about the current situation
and discussions in Japan.
We do not think that child abuse does not occur: in fact, as lawyers we are wholly aware that the child abuse occurs, and that it is a very serious problem.
However, we are equally concerned about parents or caretakers being accused and convicted of a crime of child abuse they did not commit, based on a theory that is very much being debated in medical domain.
If a parent or a caretaker is suspected of child abuse, the child can be taken away from them. This is also detrimental to the child’s well-being.
We will be conducting research on SBS and provide support for people convicted
of child abuse based on SBS/AHT theory. If you, your family members, or
friends are suspected or convicted of a crime in Japan which you/he/she
did not commit and need support, please contact us at the e-mail address
below. If you do not understand Japanese, please contact us in English.

English Panphlet (Update on 10 Mar 2019)
Three pediatric neurosurgeons in Japan (Aoki, Nishimoto, and Fujiwara)
have made a little panphlet in English on the situation of suspected child
abuse cases in Japan. They describe about "Nakamura Type I",
also known as the Aoki theory. They asked me to spread it to the world!
It can be downloaded from this link here.
